Frogville is a unique private facility located on a hill above Santa Fe, New Mexico with a picturesque 360 degree view of serene mountains and city lights. We have 4 acres to contemplate apon with no immediate neighbors and we can record day or night. Your comfort is paramount, in our relaxed "living room" atmosphere we avoid the tension usually associated with studio recording environments. Catering to your needs we can capture the magic of your performance and help you produce a fantastic record , demo, or soundtrack. Frogville is also becoming legendary for mixing, final mixing & mastering, let us fix what got screwed up at your friends home studio! WHY YOU SHOULD RECORD AT FROGVILLE

At the helm and the heart of the studio is musician, engineer & producer extraordinaire BILL PALMER. Bill has engineered every major release recorded here at Frogville Studios. He has a fantastic "bed-side manner" and is responsible for the tones, all the knob turning and coaxing the right performance out of the musicians. Bill also plays in several bands including Hundred Year Flood and the Stephanie Hatfield & hot mess, both of which have won best band and best album in Santa Fe Reporter. Bill brings that musician friendly knowledge to the table which makes punching, building, layering easier as well as the bouncing of ideas and production growth of each song as a more organic experience in totality.

We record on your choice of phat old-school analog tape or state of the art  Pro-tools digital. Our phat analog front end makes our digital sound big and deep. Just listen to our recordings, we sound the best, Frogville records are being spun on over 125 radio stations with absolutely no advertising or marketing or radio promotion, just on the merits of the songs and the quality of the recordings. We can do anything! 

We do 90% of our work in Digital Now, If you would like to use analog tape - we need a 2 week lead time and a deposit from you to order reels of tape for your analog project!

Starting August 2009 we are beginning construction and expansion of the studio, we are adding a huge tracking room and two isolation vocal booths and an office and a porch / deck. At some point we will only be recording after 5 pm and into the night until construction is completed. Our vision is to have a premiere studio complex that will be open to the public and desirable to bigger acts and bigger budgets.

We are encouraging local recording engineers to bring projects up here to book time for tracking and to enjoy and respect our facilities as we grow to accommodate the needs of musicians, engineers and producers.

By 2010 we hope to have a full on 24 hour facility available to labels/bands for block outs by the week/month where a band can live and breathe the studio, upstairs lounge / living sleeping area, a full kitchen and all the services one might expect from a bed and breakfast / hotel with an attached professional studio.

In addition to engineer/producer Bill Palmer, we are proud to welcome engineer Matthew "Kabby" Kabakoff into the frogville recording family, and we encourage other talented engineers to tap into the magic up here. John Courage is also available as a producer on a by the song or project basis. You may also book studio time and bring your own producer and engineer if you so wish.

We will continue to keep a sliding scale in order to help out the financially challenged and the tight budget minded projects and to keep the local musicians happy. We can make a recording for 300, 3000 or 30,000 dollars and they will obviously all be different records, we will do our best to capture your music, but its all about investing in the time required to make the best project possible, in many ways you get what you pay for and more at Frogville studios, our promise is no matter what your budget, you will not be dissappointed.
